Tunisia: Electoral commission approves 3 candidates for the presidential elections

The Independent High Authority for Elections announced on Monday that it has accepted the candidacies of three individuals for the presidential electionS scheduled for October 6th.

According to a statement from the Tunisian Commission, the accepted candidates are the current president Kais Saied, Zouhair Maghzaoui, and Ayachi Zemmal. The Commission has rejected the candidacies of Abdel Latif Mekki, Moncef Zenai, and Imed Dlimi.

The Commission noted also that the electoral campaign for the October 6th presidential election will begin on September 14th.
