Algeria and Hungary eye expanded partnership in pharmaceutical industry and clinical research

ALGIERS – Algerian Pharmaceutical Industry Minister, Ouacim Kouidri, held talks on Sunday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Algeria, Goban Levente Szarka, on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the fields of research and development as well as clinical trials.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the potential for partnership between the two countries in various branches of the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on scientific research and clinical trials, which are witnessing significant progress in Hungary, the Algerian Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry said in a statement.

The two sides also addressed prospects for exchanging expertise and technical knowledge, which would help support and develop pharmaceutical production in Algeria and strengthen national healthcare capacities, the statement said.

Both sides also emphasized the importance of encouraging communication and establishing cooperative relations between Algerian economic operators and their Hungarian counterparts, which would open new prospects for investment and partnership and serve the shared interests of both countries.
