Latvian Prime Minister Resigns Over Drone Incident Crisis

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa has resigned after losing her parliamentary majority following political fallout over the government’s handling of Ukrainian drones that entered Latvian airspace and damaged an oil storage facility.

The crisis escalated after the defence minister was dismissed over the incident, leading a coalition partner to withdraw support and collapse the government.

Siliņa will remain in a caretaker role until a new government is formed.
