Kremlin: No Ukraine Response Yet on Proposed Victory Day Truce

The Kremlin stated on Thursday that no reaction has yet been received from Ukraine regarding a proposed Victory Day ceasefire, according to spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet taken a final decision on the specific timing of a potential ceasefire in the conflict zone during the May 9 Victory Day period, commonly referred to in Russia as the “special military operation.”
Peskov also commented on broader geopolitical issues, stating that a single phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump would not be sufficient to improve the global security situation, adding that international tensions and conflicts remain highly concentrated.
