Trump Signals No Ceasefire Extension with Iran, Hints at Imminent Outcome

US President Donald Trump is not considering extending the current ceasefire with Iran, according to statements reported Tuesday by ABC News journalist Jonathan Karl.

Speaking via the social media platform X, Karl relayed that Trump does not believe an extension will be necessary, suggesting that developments in the coming days could prove decisive. “I think you’re going to be watching an amazing two days ahead,” Trump said. “I really do.”

According to the report, Trump indicated that the conflict could end either through a negotiated settlement or through military action aimed at eliminating Iran’s capabilities. He emphasized that a deal would be preferable, arguing it would allow for reconstruction, while also claiming that “radicals” had already been removed from power.

Trump further made a sweeping assertion about his global role, stating that without his presidency, “the world would be torn to pieces,” a remark described by Karl as an extraordinary claim.
