Russian Forces Target Key Military Infrastructure to Disrupt Western Aid to Ukraine

Russian military forces have intensified their strikes on key logistical and military infrastructure in Ukraine, targeting railway facilities used to transport Western-supplied equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to a report from the Ministry of Defense, the strikes involved operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops, and artillery.
The report stated that Russian forces specifically targeted military airfield infrastructure, railway hubs facilitating Western arms supplies, drone assembly and storage sites, and fuel depots. A total of 147 locations were hit during these operations, as part of a broad effort to disrupt Ukraine’s supply chain.
The report further noted that Ukrainian forces faced significant losses as a result of these strikes. Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted ten U.S.-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system projectiles and 36 fixed-wing drones. Additionally, estimates suggest that approximately 1,500 Ukrainian troops were killed or injured across combat zones in just one day.
