ALGIERS, April 22, 2026 – The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held talks on Wednesday at the VIP lounge of Algiers International Airport with the President of the Republic of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
Earlier, President Tebboune welcomed his Chadian counterpart at Algiers International Airport.
After the playing of the national anthems of both countries, the two Presidents reviewed units from various branches of the People’s National Army (PNA), which rendered them honors.
The Algerian President greeted members of the high-level delegation accompanying the President of the Republic of Chad.
For his part, the Algerian guest greeted senior State officials who were present at the reception ceremony.
