Algerian athlete Djelal Safia captured the gold medal in the women’s sitting weight (F57) event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, achieving a remarkable throw of 11.56 meters and setting a new Paralympic record. Her compatriot, Nassima Saifi, earned the bronze medal with a distance of 10.74 meters during the final held on Thursday morning at the Stade de Saint-Denis.
