Lebanon: Death of a TV Cameraman During a Zionist Raid

Kamel Karaki, a cameraman for the Lebanese television channel Al-Manar, was killed on Wednesday during a Zionist airstrike in southern Lebanon. In a social media post, Al-Manar announced the “martyrdom of cameraman Kamel Karaki as a result of an Israeli aerial assault in the south of the country.” The channel noted that “Karaki, who hailed from the city of Qantara Al-Janubiya, had dedicated over 25 years of his life to Al-Manar, marked by devotion and sacrifice.”
The Lebanese Journalists’ Syndicate expressed its sorrow in a statement, condemning the “deliberate targeting of journalists by the Zionist forces.” On Tuesday, another journalist from Al-Mayadeen Online, Hadi Al-Sayed, was also killed in a raid that targeted his home in southern Lebanon.
Since Monday morning, the Zionist forces has engaged in its most violent and extensive aggression against Lebanon in a year, resulting in 572 fatalities, including 50 children and 94 women, along with nearly 1,848 injuries and approximately 390,000 people displaced.
