Kaylia Nemour Leads Algeria to Historic Triumph at African Gymnastics Championships

Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour dominated the final day of the African Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on Sunday, clinching two gold medals in the balance beam and floor exercise.
The 2024 Olympic champion opened her tally with a score of 14.166 on the balance beam to claim first place, ahead of compatriot Janna El Aroui, who secured the silver medal with a score of 12.233.
Nemour followed up her success in the floor exercise, finishing in first place with a score of 13.100.
Both Nemour and El Aroui had previously reached the podium in the uneven bars, securing gold (14.400) and bronze (12.800), respectively.
Their dominance extended to the all-around competition, securing a historic qualification for Algeria to the World Gymnastics Championships scheduled to take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
