Iran: Khamenei Says Strait of Hormuz Will Be Managed by Iran, Rejects Foreign Presence

Mojtaba Khamenei stated that Iran will manage the Strait of Hormuz and rejected any foreign presence in the strategic waterway, declaring that “foreigners have no place here.”

In remarks addressing regional dynamics in the Persian Gulf, he argued that the area has long been targeted by external powers, describing recent developments as a turning point. He claimed that the United States’ recent military engagement in the region ended in “failure,” asserting that even regional actors now view the American presence as a source of instability.

Khamenei also framed Iran’s regional posture within what he described as a “resistance strategy,” saying it is contributing to the emergence of a new global balance of power centered on a “strong Iran.”
