Algeria: Huawei “ICT Job Fair 2024” opens in Algiers
ALGIERS — Huawei’s “ICT Job Fair 2024” kicked off on Saturday at the Safex Exhibition Palace in Algiers, with a focus on creating job opportunities for young Algerians in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).
Taking place on the final day of the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA) at the same venue, the event serves as a “recruitment hub,” gathering approximately 1,500 students from Huawei ICT Academies nationwide, according to organisers.
Around 100 national and multinational companies are ready to provide internships and job opportunities to graduates in technical fields, including systems network engineering, telecommunications infrastructure administration, and network operations management, among others.
Besides Huawei Algeria, this exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), the startup accelerator “Algeria Venture,” the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Algeria, and “Khotwa Tour.”
During his opening remarks, Harry White, Vice President of Huawei Algeria, expressed his company’s commitment to “support the New Algeria in its digital transformation strategy.”
