3rd Session of Algerian-Hungarian Political Consultations Kicks Off in Budapest

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Lounès Magramane, co-chaired the third session of the Algerian-Hungarian political consultations on Tuesday in Budapest with his counterpart, Illés Boglarka, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This meeting occurred during his visit to Hungary, as indicated by a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
“This session provided an opportunity to assess the current state of bilateral relations and explore avenues for enhancement through strengthened political dialogue and mobilization of resources to bolster economic, trade, and technical cooperation across various sectors, including investment, infrastructure, higher education, scientific research, pharmaceuticals, digitalization, culture, sports, and transportation,” the statement noted.
Additionally, Magramane met with Péter Sztaray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security, to discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest. Their conversation highlighted developments in the Middle East, specifically the Palestinian cause and the situation in Gaza, the Western Sahara issue, dynamics in the Sahelo-Saharan region, opportunities for cooperation in migration, and the fight against terrorism, as concluded in the statement.
