ALGIERS, April 30, 2026 – USM Alger defeated CR Belouizdad 2-1 on Thursday at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers to win the Algeria Cup for a record 10th time.
In a repeat of last season’s final, USMA confirmed their recent dominance over their Algiers rivals, while CRB extend their run to a second consecutive season without a major title.
CR Belouizdad started strongly, with Abderrahmane Meziane forcing an early save from goalkeeper Oussama Benbot in the 4th minute. However, USMA gradually took control of proceedings.
Dramane Kamagaté opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, finishing from close range after a precise pass from Ahmed Khaldi. USMA doubled their lead just before halftime, as Khaldi converted Ibrahim Benzaza’s assist in the 43rd minute.
CRB improved after the break and reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute when Younes Ouassa headed in from a free kick delivered by captain Abderraouf Benguit.
Despite sustained pressure in the closing stages, CR Belouizdad were unable to find an equaliser, with USMA maintaining their defensive organisation until the final whistle.
The two Algiers clubs were meeting for the seventh time in Algeria Cup final. With this victory, USMA move ahead in their head-to-head record in finals and bring their total to 10 titles, extending their national record.
CR Belouizdad, appearing in their fifth consecutive final, remain on nine titles.
