Zionist occupation bombs Nasser Hospital, intensifies airstrikes across Gaza

At least 21 Palestinians were martyred since the early hours of Monday in Zionist occupation airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, hours after the occupation forces bombed the Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, resulting in two martyrs, including Hamas leader Ismail Barhoum.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the strike targeted the hospital’s surgical ward, claiming the life of a 16-year-old, and injuring several other patients and medical staff.
Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, was martyred while undergoing treatment at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis late on Sunday, Hamas said in a statement.
“We condemn this latest crime, which adds to the occupation’s long record of terrorism, violating sanctities, lives and medical facilities,” the Palestinian armed group said in a statement.
“It reaffirms its disregard for all international laws and conventions and its continued policy of systematic killing against our people and leadership.”
Witnesses said the attack targeted the second floor of the hospital, igniting fires at the facility.
Nasser Hospital is one of the largest medical facilities in southern Gaza, housing a significant number of patients and injured civilians.
Separately, the Palestinian group Hamas welcomed the outcomes of the Arab-Islamic ministerial committee meeting, urging for more pressure on the Zionist occupation to end its genocidal war on Gaza and commit to the ceasefire agreement.
“We affirm our support for every serious Arab and Islamic effort for Gaza’s reconstruction, and we appreciate the joint efforts in presenting a clear Arab plan for recovery and reconstruction,” the Palestinian resistance group said, calling for efforts to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid and basic necessities into Gaza, as the occupation continues to block the entry of aid and essential goods, pushing Palestinians in Gaza to the brink of famine.
Sunday’s ministerial committee meeting underscored the urgency of addressing the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the participants deplored “the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure,” urging “an immediate return to the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.”
