UNRWA Renews Call for “Immediate” Humanitarian Aid Entry Into GAZA

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) renewed its call Wednesday for the “immediate” entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip amid harsh weather conditions.

The agency stated in a post: “Harsh weather conditions are exacerbating the dire conditions of thousands of people living in tents or damaged houses.” While UNRWA continues to support displaced families, the occupation has insisted for months on preventing the UN agency from delivering aid directly into Gaza.

UNRWA stressed the need to end this situation by immediately allowing the entry of aid on a large scale.

The Zionist occupation continues to impose strict restrictions on the work of humanitarian and UN organizations, including UNRWA, amid international warnings that these measures threaten a total collapse of humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip.
