UA-EU Ministerial Meeting: Sahrawi Republic’s Participation Counters Moroccan Propaganda (Minister)

Sahrawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Yeslem Beissat stated on Wednesday that the involvement of the Sahrawi Republic in the third African Union (AU) and European Union (EU) Ministerial Meeting serves as clear evidence of its status as an irreversible political and diplomatic reality. He remarked that its presence in Brussels “is the most effective counter to Moroccan propaganda suggesting otherwise.”

In a statement to the Algerian news agency APS, Beissat emphasized that his country’s participation in this meeting, alongside fellow African nations and representatives from 27 European states, “underscores its role as a founding member of the AU and an active participant in this renewed partnership between the two unions.”

The Sahrawi minister asserted that this participation represents “the strongest rebuttal to Moroccan claims that have circulated for weeks regarding the exclusion of the Sahrawi Republic from this meeting.”

Confronting the falsehoods propagated by the Moroccan occupying state aimed at undermining the Sahrawi Republic, the minister declared that Morocco now faces an undeniable truth: The Sahrawi Republic is an unassailable political and diplomatic reality.
