Tunisia: President Kaïs Saïed takes oath of office

TUNIS – Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed was sworn in on Monday before the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP, Tunisian Parliament), according to the Tunisian news agency TAP.

President Saïed took the oath in the presence of the ARP Speaker, Brahim Bouderbala, during an official ceremony attended by deputies from both parliamentary chambers, government members, and political figures from across the Tunisian political scene.

The Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed secured a second term in the October 6 presidential elections with 90.69% of the votes, as announced by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE).
