Three Algerian Ping-Pongists Ranked Among Africa’s Top 10

ALGER, April 22, 2026 – Algerian table tennis players Mahdi Bouloussa, Stephane Ouaiche, and Tania Morice have secured places in the African Top 10 rankings, reflecting the steady progress of the national elite, the Algerian Table Tennis Federation (FATT) said Wednesday.

In the men’s category, Mahdi Bouloussa ranks 4th in Africa (71st worldwide), behind Egypt’s Omar Assar (1st), Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna (2nd), and Egypt’s Youssef Abdelaziz (3rd), according to the latest rankings published Tuesday.

His compatriot Stephane Ouaiche is positioned 8th in Africa (134th worldwide).

In the women’s category, Tania Morice holds 5th place in Africa (125th worldwide), in a ranking dominated by Egypt’s Hana Goda (1st), Dina Meshref (2nd), and Mariam Alhodaby (3rd).

The federation welcomed “the emergence of a promising new generation for the future of the national women’s elite,” noting that some players are as young as 16 years old.
