Polisario Front Takes Part in African Political Parties Summit in Accra

ACCRA – The Polisario Front is participating in the African Political Parties Summit, held in Accra, Ghana’s capital, from August 12 to 14, 2025, at the International Conference Center. The delegation is led by Abdelkader Taleb Omar, member of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat and head of the Social Committee of the National Secretariat.
The summit, themed “From Politics to Prosperity: Strengthening Inter-Party Collaboration for Africa’s Development and Economic Transformation,” underscores the commitment of political parties to fostering dialogue, enhancing strategic partnerships across the continent, and advancing the African Union’s Agenda 2063. It aims to promote sustainable development, peace, and security, while transcending ideological and partisan divides to build a prosperous Africa.
The event gathers political leaders, civil society representatives, academics, and regional and international organizations to exchange views on development needs, peacebuilding, and good governance in Africa. On the sidelines, Abdelkader Taleb Omar met with several heads of delegations, providing updates on the latest developments regarding the Sahrawi cause and discussing other matters of mutual interest.
