Algerian President Receives U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and AFRICOM Commander

ALGIERS, April 28, 2026 – The Algerian President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Tuesday the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, and Army General Dagvin Anderson, Commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), along with the delegation accompanying them.

The audience took place in the presence of Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, the Adviser to the President of the Republic in charge of diplomatic affairs, Amar Abba, and Algeria’s Ambassador to Washington, Sabri Boukadoum.
