Moldovans vote in pivotal presidential runoff
CHISINAU – Polling stations opened on Sunday at 7:00 AM (5:00 AM GMT) for the second round of presidential elections, according to media reports.
In the first round held last October, with 98.56% of the ballots counted, incumbent President Maia Sandu received 42.5% of the votes, while former Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo garnered 26.27%.
Renato Usatîi, leader of Our Party, finished third with 13.72% of the votes.
Polling stations are scheduled to close at 9:00 PM, with the first partial results expected one hour later.
