Lebanon: The Zionist occupation intensifies strikes on the south

BEIRUT – One person was martyred and two others were injured in an airstrike carried out by Zionist forces in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Sunday.

The ministry stated in a press release that the airstrike targeted the town of Aytaroun, resulting in the martyrdom of one individual and injuries to another young man.

As the escalation and intensive airstrikes continue, the Zionist warplanes executed 60 air raids targeting border towns and areas in the south and western Bekaa. These strikes concentrated on the valley between Ansar and Zarariyeh, Aita al-Shaab, and other towns and villages, resulting in the complete destruction of two houses.

The Zionist entity also targeted the outskirts of the town of Shihin and the Al-Ma’aliya area near the town of Qlayla in the western sector of Tyre.

In an update from the Lebanese health ministry, the toll of martyrs from Friday’s raid targeting the Al-Jamous area in southern Beirut has “increased to 45 martyrs,” while “the debris removal” from the destroyed building is still ongoing. A previous report had indicated 37 martyrs, including three children and seven women.
