Greece: Five Injured in Athens Shooting Incidents

Five people were injured Tuesday in a series of shooting incidents in the Greek capital, Athens, and an 89-year-old male suspect is currently on the run, according to the public broadcaster ERT.

Greek authorities were alerted after the man entered the offices of the National Social Security Fund (EFKA) with a hunting rifle and opened fire, injuring an employee in the leg.

According to police sources, shortly afterward, the same man reportedly went to the Court of Appeal, where he reached the fourth floor and allegedly shot four people, who were lightly injured.

The perpetrator left the hunting rifle at the scene before fleeing.

The suspect remains at large, and the national police have launched a large-scale operation to locate him.
