German Chancellor Merz Slams Zionist Entity for Violating Humanitarian Law in Gaza

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday issued a strong rebuke of the Zionist entity’s military actions in Gaza, accusing the Zionist forces of violating international humanitarian law and causing disproportionate harm to civilians. Speaking at the WDR European Forum in Berlin, Merz stated, “What the Israeli army is doing now in the Gaza Strip, harming the civilian population to such an extent, can no longer be justified as a fight against terrorism.”
“When boundaries are crossed, where international humanitarian law is truly violated, Germany and the German chancellor must also say something about it,” he said. The chancellor confirmed he will bring these concerns directly to Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their upcoming meeting.
He specifically condemned the recent bombing of a school in Gaza, which killed dozens of people, calling it “a human tragedy and a political catastrophe.” Merz said the German government is in direct contact with Zionist officials to express its deep concern over the growing toll of the military offensive.
