CAN2021 : Senegal wins it’s first Africa Cup Trophy, beating Egypt on penalties .

Senegal have won it’s first ever Africa Cup of Nations as it defeated Egypt on penalties (4-2), after a draw and extra time (0-0), in the final at Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon, on Sunday.

It was Senegal’s third Africa Cup of Nations final after those they lost in 2002 and 2019.

The Sadio Mané scored the decisive spot-kick, making up for an earlier penalty he missed in the beginning of the game (7th).

The new Africa Cup of Nations title holder Senegal has taken over from Algeria, eliminated in the pool stage.
