As Special Envoy of Algerian President, Meziane Received by Namibian President

Mohamed Meziane, the Algerian Minister of Communication and special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was warmly received on Thursday by Namibian President Nangolo Mbumba in Windhoek, as stated in a communiqué from the ministry.

During this meeting, the Minister presented a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to President Mbumba, which conveyed “his heartfelt fraternal greetings and expressed a desire to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two nations, aiming to elevate these ties to reflect the historical bonds that unite them for their mutual benefit,” the statement elaborated.

The discussions offered an opportunity to review the various aspects of the strong bilateral relations between Algeria and Namibia and to explore avenues for further collaboration across different sectors. The objective is to bolster cooperation at both regional and international levels, particularly concerning UN reform, according to the same source.

Both parties also addressed “priority issues on the African Union agenda,” underscoring the “importance of coordination and reinforcing consultation mechanisms within the framework of collective continental action,” the statement concluded.
