Algiers–Moscow: Talks Focus on Urban Development and Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation

The Algerian Minister and Wali (Governor) of Algiers, Mohamed Abdennour Rabehi, received on Wednesday Moscow Government Minister, Sergei Cheryomin at the governorate headquarters, with whom the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, an official statement said.
The meeting featured a bilateral dialogue during which both parties explored prospects for expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise across various sectors. A presentation was also delivered on the progress of projects under the Strategic Vision for the Development and Modernization of Algiers.
On the occasion, Rabehi emphasized the importance of the visit, noting that it reflects the depth of the ties of friendship and cooperation between the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Russian Federation. He added that the visit gives concrete expression to the local dimension of the distinguished partnership between the province of Algiers and the city of Moscow.
For his part, the Moscow Government Minister praised the strategic projects outlined in the four development plans, expressing his administration’s readiness to contribute to their implementation and to promote the exchange of expertise in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the President of the People’s Provincial Assembly (APWI), Mohamed El-Habib Benboulaïd, along with senior officials from both sides.
