ALGIERS, April 30, 2026 – Algeria’s Minister of Industry Yahia Bachir received on Thursday at the ministry’s headquarters a delegation from the Russian Federation led by Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations, Sergey Cheryomin, with whom he discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and develop joint industrial projects, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting, held in the presence of Russia’s ambassador to Algeria, Alexey Solomatine, took place as part of a working visit aimed at “strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between Algeria and the Russian Federation” and “exploring partnership opportunities in industrial and economic sectors of common interest,” the same source said.
Discussions also focused on deepening cooperation through the exchange of expertise, the promotion of investment and the development of high value-added joint projects, the statement concluded.
