Zionist occupation persists with airstrikes across Gaza, imposes mass displacement in the north

GAZA – At least 14 people have been martyred and 30 others injured, following a series of Zionist airstrikes across Gaza since the early hours of Sunday morning, according to WAFA news agency.

Local reports indicated that an airstrike hit a tent sheltering displaced people in the northern Gaza town of Izbat Beit Hanoun, resulting in the martyrdom of several Palestinians, while many others sustained injuries.

In another attack, a Zionist artillery shell struck a residential area on Sultan Abdul Hamid Street in the neighbouring city of Beit Hanoun, claiming the lives of a man, his wife, and two daughters.

Overnight, the occupation’s warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Arouq family in the Abu Iskander area of the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, west of Gaza City. Several civilians were martyred and wounded in this strike as well.

In central Gaza City, another airstrike hit a home on Nafaq Street, resulting in the martyrdom of four people and injuring several others.

On Saturday, the occupation forces blew up buildings and burnt dozens of homes in and around Beit Lahiya while firing at Kamal Adwan Hospital, according to Wafa.

The Zionist occupation has imposed a total siege on several neighbourhoods in northern Gaza over the past two months, resulting in the permanent displacement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the area.

Early on Sunday, the occupation forces forcibly evacuated displaced families from a school in Beit Hanoun under threat of gunfire.

According to local reports, the Zionist forces surrounded the Khalil Oweida School and ordered the displaced residents to leave. The evacuees were directed toward a military checkpoint set up on Salah al-Din Street, where several civilians were detained by the Zionist forces.

The Zionist occupation’s genocide on Gaza has so far resulted in at least 44,930 documented Palestinian martyrs, with over 106,624 others injured, while thousands remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defence teams due to incessant Zionist attacks.
