Zionist drones violated Lebanese airspace on Wednesday, flying over Beirut, the southern suburbs, and the city of Hermel, as Zionist forces conducted gunfire sweeps along the border in Nabatieh Province, Lebanese media reported.
According to the National News Agency, Zionist reconnaissance drones hovered at low altitudes over Beirut and its southern suburbs throughout the morning. Surveillance aircraft were also spotted over Hermel in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate.
In southern Lebanon, Zionist troops carried out machine-gun sweeps on Hammamis Hill in the Marjayoun District, escalating tensions along the border with occupied Palestine.
These incursions come just a day after the Zionist entity handed over four Lebanese detainees who had been held since the last war. A fifth detainee was expected to be released later on Wednesday.
Despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect on November 27, 2024, Zionist forces have committed over 1,000 violations, resulting in 86 deaths and 285 injuries, according to official Lebanese figures.
