Zaafrani Praises the Deep Structural and Institutional Reforms in Algeria

The head of the Tunisian government, Sarra Zaafrani, on Friday in Tunis, praised the deep structural and institutional reforms underway in Algeria under the leadership of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In her speech at the expanded session of the 23rd meeting of the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Commission on Cooperation, which she co-chaired with the Algeria’s Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, Zaafrani commended the major development projects in Algeria that contribute to strengthening the process of building a new Algeria under the direction of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

For the Tunisian head of government, every development achievement realized by Algeria and Tunisia “is a key milestone aimed at serving a supreme goal: moving forward toward strengthening socio-economic integration and a solidarity partnership between the two countries.”

In this context, the current session of the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Commission on Cooperation takes place, which Zaafrani described as “an important step allowing for monitoring and evaluating accomplishments in various fields of cooperation and exploring new perspectives to strengthen it and develop its mechanisms for greater efficiency and speed.”

She expressed, in this regard, her satisfaction with “the positive momentum and the satisfactory results” marking bilateral cooperation between the two countries in recent years, noting that the concrete achievements in this domain reflect “the common and sincere will” of both countries to move toward genuine integration at all levels.

Furthermore, the Tunisian official welcomed the convergence of views between the two countries on several regional and international issues, describing the ongoing coordination and consultation between the leaders of the two countries on various dossiers as “an essential driver for strengthening their bilateral relations.”

In this context, she emphasized the need “to engage in consultations regarding ongoing developments in the Euro-Mediterranean space and the solutions they entail to safeguard the interests of the two brotherly countries,” she added.
