UNSC to Convene on Gaza Children Thursday at the Request of Algeria and Russia

In response to calls from Algeria and Russia, the United Nations Security Council is set to convene next Thursday to address the urgent plight of children in Gaza, particularly in light of the atrocities committed by the Zionist occupation in the Palestinian territories over the past year.
This meeting will specifically focus on the children of Gaza who have fallen victim to the ongoing conflict initiated by the Zionist entity. Over the past year, many children have been killed or injured as a result of this violence.
The latest figures from the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip indicate there have been 46,876 fatalities and 110,642 injuries since October 7, 2023, with a significant majority of these victims being women and children.
Algeria currently holds the presidency of the Security Council for the month of January.
