Trump Threatens Renewed Iran Bombings “at Much Higher Level” if Deal Fails

US President Donald Trump warned that Washington could resume military strikes against Iran “at a much higher level” if Tehran refuses to accept proposed terms for a potential agreement, signaling a sharp escalation risk in the ongoing standoff.

In a statement, Trump said that if Iran agrees to the outlined conditions, the United States would end its military campaign, referred to as “Operation Epic Fury,” and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic, including Iran. However, he warned that failure to reach an agreement would trigger intensified bombing operations.

The remarks come amid reports of ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran. According to U.S. media, the two sides are nearing a preliminary one-page memorandum of understanding aimed at ending hostilities and establishing a framework for future negotiations, particularly on nuclear-related issues.

Tensions between the two countries have surged in recent months, with military actions and maritime restrictions raising concerns over regional stability and global energy supplies. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical corridor for international oil shipments, making any escalation in the area a matter of global significance.
