The Zionist occupation arrested over nine thousand Palestinian in the West Bank since October

RAMALLAH – the Zionist occupation forces launched Saturday a massive arrest campaign against over 40 West Bank citizens, including children, amounting the total number of prisoners up to 9,840 Palestinians since October.

According to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Palestinians are either arrested from homes, in military checkpoints, or are taken as hostages, mainly in Qalqilya and Nablus governorates.

“Widespread raids and harassments, attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to field investigation operations, sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes,” the statement adds.

It is noteworthy that “the Zionist occupation continue to carry out systematic arrest campaigns,” as a salient policy to force Palestinians to succumb to intimidation and leave their land.
