Signing of Several Agreements at Algerian-Turkish Business Forum in Ankara

Several major agreements were signed Thursday at the Algerian-Turkish Business Forum in Ankara, as officials from both countries pledged to deepen economic ties and expand investment cooperation.
The forum brought together government officials, business leaders and investment agencies under the co-chairmanship of Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig and Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat.
Participants stressed their determination to elevate bilateral economic relations to a “comprehensive strategic partnership” and reaffirmed the target of increasing trade volume between the two countries to $10 billion.
Rezig and Bolat also underlined the need to expand investments and prepare the signing of a preferential trade agreement between Algeria and Türkiye. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in sectors including renewable energy, financial services, agriculture and infrastructure.
The forum was held during Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s official visit to Türkiye, where he is set to co-chair with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan the first session of the Algerian-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
