Palestinian National Council Condemns Zionist Land Seizures Near Jenin as Ethnic Cleansing

The President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, said the notification by the Zionist occupation forces of the seizure of lands in Al-Jabriyat area overlooking the Jenin refugee camp, coinciding with the opening of new settlement roads on the lands of Anin and Silat Al-Harithiya, constitutes a crime of ethnic cleansing.

In his statement on Sunday, Fattouh described the land seizure as part of a pattern of ongoing war crimes committed by the Zionist forces against the Palestinian people.

He stressed that these settlement policies are unfolding alongside organized settler attacks on Palestinians, with the stated aim of driving out the local population and entrenching colonial realities by force on the occupied Palestinian land.

Fattouh urged the international community to comprehensively reassess its policies and stance toward the Zionist occupation, and to adopt concrete and deterrent measures to stop its crimes and deal with it as an apartheid system that systematically and persistently violates international law and human rights.
