– The President instructed the Minister of Industry to expedite the reopening of the cement production plant in Adrar, which was reclaimed by the state as part of anti-corruption efforts. The plant is to be operational before the end of March 2025, which will provide jobs in the region and support national cement production.

– He also called for the swift completion of all technical steps required to begin operations at the cement plant in Djelfa.

– President Tebboune ordered the completion of all necessary steps to launch the oilseed crushing plant in Jijel, by the end of May.

The President has given preliminary approval for an increase in student allowances, pending approval at the next Cabinet meeting.

On the evolution of domestic consumption of gas and petroleum products:

President Tebboune emphasized the importance of anticipating and rationalizing the consumption of various types of energy, as the state continues to increase production in these sectors. He stressed the need for a new regulatory approach based on comprehensive studies to preserve energy and utilize it for the development of various industries, alongside investments in renewable energy sources such as green hydrogen and solar energy, where Algeria holds significant potential.

President Tebboune also directed the government to create a comprehensive, scientifically-based vision for the short, medium, and long term, which aims to preserve citizens’ purchasing power regarding energy consumption by increasing energy investments and addressing all forms of waste.

On the progress of the fiber-optic network expansion program:

President Tebboune underscored that the growth of consumption and services in modern communication technologies is an important indicator of Algeria’s overall development. He emphasized the need for continued investment, with a focus on quality, especially since Algeria now fully meets its fiber-optic needs domestically, after previously relying on imports.

On the progress of the roadmap to reduce ship docking times and the processing of imported goods:

Ports play a crucial role in both the national economy and national sovereignty. In this regard, President Tebboune instructed the implementation of new monitoring measures to protect these vital facilities and restore their role in contributing effectively to the country’s economic development.
