Iran Accuses US, Zionist Entity of Orchestrating Disinformation Campaign
The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baqaei, lashed out at the United States and the Zionist entity, accusing them of orchestrating a systematic disinformation campaign against Tehran.
In a message posted Wednesday on his account on X, Baqaei said Washington and “war profiteers” surrounding it — particularly the Zionist regime — are repeatedly spreading false claims about Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and the number of casualties during January’s riots. “Professional liars are good at creating the ‘illusion of truth’,” he said.
Baqaei also referenced propaganda tactics attributed to Joseph Goebbels, stating that repeating falsehoods to shape public perception is now being used against Iran. He claimed that allegations regarding Iran’s nuclear activities, missile capabilities, and casualties during recent unrest represent the repetition of “big lies.”
“Whatever they’re alleging in regards to Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s ballistic missiles, and the number of casualties during January’s unrest is simply the repetition of ‘big lies’,” he stated, adding that no one should be misled by what he called prominent untruths.
