International Trade Union Forum in Solidarity with Sahrawi people kicks off in Aousserd
AOUSSERD (Sahrawi Refugee Camps) – The International Trade Union Forum in Solidarity with the Sahrawi people began on Sunday at the Aousserd refugee camps. This event is part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of the General Union of Sahrawi Workers (UGTSARIO). The forum was attended by the President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Ghali, alongside representatives from several trade unions from various countries.
The forum aims to show solidarity with the Sahrawi people’s struggle for self-determination and highlight the role of labor unions in supporting their cause. It serves as a platform for international unions to exchange ideas on how best to advocate for the Sahrawi people and raise awareness of their ongoing plight.
