FM Ahmed Attaf to take part in the Council of Arab League’s ministerial meeting

The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Cairo on Monday to participate in the 162nd session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, according to a statement from the ministry.

The statement noted that Tuesday’s session is expected to address a range of key issues related to Arab joint action, including the alarming escalation by the Zionist occupation in Gaza and the West Bank, which has extended to the broader region. Additionally, the session will cover crises and conflicts that threaten security and stability across various Arab countries.

The statement also indicated that FM Attaf will hold bilateral meetings with several Arab counterparts on the sidelines of the session as part of Algeria’s efforts to defend the interests of Arab nations in the Security Council.
