European Foreign Ministers Condemn New Zionist Aggressions in Gaza

The foreign ministers of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain issued a strong condemnation on Friday regarding the latest acts of aggression by the Zionist occupier against the Gaza Strip, as well as the announcement to establish a permanent presence in the city center of the Palestinian enclave.

“The systematic destruction of essential civilian infrastructure, including locations that serve as refuge for extremely vulnerable displaced civilians, is unacceptable,” the ministers stated in a joint statement reported by various media outlets.

Expressing their concern over an Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report which confirmed the existence of famine in the Gaza governorate and warned of its potential expansion in the coming weeks, the foreign ministers called on the Zionist entity to adhere to its humanitarian responsibilities and permit UN agencies and NGOs to deliver substantial aid.

They also raised concerns about the expansion of illegal settlements by the Zionist entity in the occupied West Bank, along with the increase in violence perpetrated by Zionist settlers, emphasizing that “these developments jeopardize the prospects for a two-state solution.”

“The international community will not remain silent in the face of human rights violations,” the ministers asserted, calling for a permanent ceasefire, the release of hostages, and unhindered humanitarian access throughout the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, at least 21 Palestinians were reported killed and several others injured early Friday due to airstrikes by the Zionist military forces on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
