BEIJING – Lei Jun, founder and CEO of China’s Xiaomi 1810.HK, said on Tuesday that the company delivered more than 135,000 cars in 2024, and aims to deliver 300,000 next year.
According to CarNewsChina magazine, Xiaomi’s initial delivery target for 2024 was 100,000 units, but the company raised it as production at its Beijing factory exceeded expectations.
The Xiaomi EV plant has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units in its first phase, with an additional 150,000 units following a second-phase expansion, bringing the total capacity to 300,000 units per year.
Xiaomi has two launches planned for 2025. In March, the company will introduce the SU7 Ultra, a sportier version of the SU7 sedan, featuring 1,526 hp and a peak torque of 1,770 Nm. The EV is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds.
