Armenia and Azerbaijan to Sign Peace Agreement in Washington

The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are poised to sign a “historic” peace agreement in Washington on Friday, facilitated by the United States. This landmark accord aims to resolve the long-standing territorial conflict between the two nations, U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday evening via his Truth Social platform.
President Trump specified that a “peace signing ceremony” will be held during this significant summit, which will include Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The American president will first hold separate meetings with each leader before signing bilateral agreements with both countries. The tripartite agreement is scheduled to be signed at 4:15 PM (8:15 PM GMT).
