ALGIERS – The Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired on Sunday a working meeting on exports at El Mouradia Palace, said the Algerian Presidency in a statement.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff at the Presidency of the Republic, Government members, business leaders, and members of the Algerian Council of Economic Renewal (CREA), led by its President, the statement added.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mohamed Boukhari, said, “this important meeting provided an opportunity to be briefed on businessmen’s projects and listen to their export-related concerns.”
Accordingly, President Tebboune has given “firm instructions to address all concerns rapidly, accurately, and effectively, and adopt a strategic vision aimed at establishing our country as a pole of excellence in exports,” Boukhari said, stressing his department’s willingness to take the necessary measures to achieve this goal.
Moreover, Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Council of Economic Renewal (CREA), said that the working meeting provided an opportunity to outline a roadmap for enhancing the export sector.
“The meeting was fruitful as it culminated in a roadmap outlined by the President of the Republic, which will be followed up by the CREA,” Moula told the press.
In this regard, President Tebboune issued clear instructions to support entrepreneurs on the ground and remove all obstacles hindering exports, Moula added, highlighting that Algeria’s vast economic potential enables the country to achieve significant export figures, provided that the necessary mechanisms are put in place.
