Algeria retains position as AUB First Vice-President

Algeria has retained its position as First Vice-President of the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), according to the Union’s official website.

This follows Algeria’s unanimous re-election by the AUB Executive Council during its meetings Friday evening in Gambia’s capital, Banjul.

This endorsement serves as a recognition of Algeria’s active role within the Union’s structures and its ongoing contribution to supporting African media and strengthening coordination among the continent’s broadcasting institutions.

During the sessions of the Union’s Executive Council and the General Assembly, Algeria strongly advocated for upholding the Union’s founding principles. It further reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting AUB, particularly the Content Exchange Center headquartered in Algiers.
