Algeria Exposes Zionist Crimes Through Its Support for the Palestinians, Says Palestinian Ambassador

The Palestinian ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Fayez Abu Aita, has declared that Algeria has effectively exposed the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people through its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause at the United Nations.

The Palestinian ambassador emphasized that Algeria’s role as a non-permanent member of the Security Council is highly significant, as it remains steadfast in defending this cause by adopting positions aimed at protecting the Palestinian people from Zionist aggression.

Speaking on the Algerian television program “Corridor of Diplomacy” (Riwak Ed-diblomassya), the Palestinian ambassador emphasized the crucial importance of Algeria’s presence on the Security Council, highlighting its firm commitment to the Palestinian cause. He pointed out that Algeria consistently takes timely and favorable stances to shield the Palestinian people from the cold-blooded crimes and barbarities of the Zionist regime.

While much of the world turns a blind eye to the atrocities in Gaza, “Algeria prioritizes this issue as a foremost national and humanitarian concern, successfully exposing the brutalities committed against the defenseless Palestinian people, particularly children,” stated the ambassador.

Mr. Fayez Abu Aita has urged countries that have normalized relations with the Zionist entity to “wake up,” lamenting their belief that such normalization would benefit the Palestinian people and their cause. “At the very least, they should exert pressure on this occupation by ending all forms of normalization, especially in light of the ongoing horrific massacres,” he added.

Commenting on national unity, the diplomat stressed its critical importance, noting that without it, “we would be in a position of weakness.” He recalled Algeria’s extensive efforts to promote Palestinian unity and end division, urging all parties to unite Palestinian ranks to confront the occupier. “We regret the continuation of division amidst this senseless war being waged against our people,” he continued.

Regarding the massacres in Gaza since October 7, the diplomat condemned them as a “disgrace” for the Zionist occupier and its supporters. “We are traumatized by the injustice faced by the Palestinian people, while the world remains indifferent,” he said.

The ambassador also praised “the honorable positions of the European and American peoples, as well as some countries, contrary to the official stance of certain governments.” Additionally, he noted that several states, including Norway, Spain, and Slovenia, have recognized the State of Palestine.

“We hope that all nations will follow suit to achieve a two-state solution and put an end to these crimes against the Palestinian people,” he concluded.
