The Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, together with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly, oversaw the signing of a number of agreements, memoranda of understanding and cooperation programmes covering sectors such as interior affairs, finance, energy, industry, trade, housing, higher education, vocational training, youth and sports, and social solidarity, according to a statement by the office of the Algerian Prime Minister.
Here are the signed agreements:
- A memorandum of understanding between the Algerian Accreditation Body and Egypt’s National Accreditation Council.
- A memorandum of understanding on housing, urban development and city planning between the two governments.
- A memorandum of understanding between Algeria’s National Higher School of Agricultural Engineering and Egypt’s Agricultural Research Center.
- A memorandum of understanding between Algeria’s Ahmed Draia University (Adrar) and Egypt’s Al-Azhar University.
- A memorandum of understanding on parliamentary cooperation between Algeria’s Ministry of Relations with Parliament and Egypt’s Ministry of Legislative, Legal Affairs and Political Communication.
- An executive cooperation program between Algeria’s Ministry of Youth and Egypt’s Ministry of Youth & Sports for 2026–2027.
- An executive cooperation program between Algeria’s Ministry of Sports and Egypt’s Ministry of Youth & Sports for 2026–2027.
- An executive cooperation program in the field of culture (2025–2028) between Algeria’s Ministry of Culture and Arts and Egypt’s Ministry of Culture.
- A memorandum of understanding between “Opera Algeria” and Egypt’s National Cultural Center at the Egyptian Opera House.
- A memorandum of understanding in archives cooperation between Algeria’s General Directorate of National Archives and Egypt’s General Library and Documentation House.
- A memorandum of understanding on local development cooperation between Algeria’s Ministry of Interior / Local Authorities / Transport and Egypt’s Ministry of Local Development.
- A memorandum of understanding about participation in international exhibitions and fairs between the Algerian Company for Exhibitions and Exports and Egypt’s General Authority for Exhibitions & Conferences.
- A memorandum of understanding for financial dialogue between Algeria’s Ministry of Finance and Egypt’s Ministry of Finance.
- A cooperation agreement on energy transition and new & renewable energies between the two governments.
- An executive cooperation program for technical training and vocational education between Algeria’s Ministry of Vocational Training & Education and Egypt’s Ministry of Labor for 2026–2027.
- An executive cooperation program for social affairs between Algeria’s Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs and Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity for 2026–2028.
- A memorandum of understanding for consumer protection between the two governments.
- A cooperation protocol in public administration, civil service and administrative reform between Algeria’s Directorate General of Public Service & Administrative Reform and Egypt’s Central Agency for Organization & Administration.
The signing ceremony concluded with Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly signing the minutes of the 9th session of the Egypt–Algeria Joint High Committee.
