The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed on Saturday that Algeria is following with deep concern the serious developments occurring in the Al-Mahra and Hadhramaut governorates of the Republic of Yemen, and the potential repercussions they may have on Yemen’s security, stability, and national unity.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algeria praised all efforts aimed at containing this crisis through peaceful means, affirming its support for diplomatic initiatives seeking to spare Yemen further escalation, tension, and division.
The statement added that Algeria calls on all concerned Yemeni parties to act with responsibility, wisdom, and restraint, and to commit to dialogue in order to resume a comprehensive political process that ensures the restoration of security and stability while preserving Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
