
The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Karim Ibrahim Ali Badawi, is conducting a working visit to Algeria on Tuesday, at the invitation of Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab.
The Egyptian Minister is heading a high-level delegation that includes the CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Salah El-Din Abdel Karim, and the Chairman of Petrojet, Walid Lotfy, along with senior officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
This visit falls within the framework of strengthening and activating the mechanisms of joint cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the hydrocarbons sector. It also aims to explore ways to develop partnership relations between Sonatrach Group and Egyptian companies, and to identify new opportunities for cooperation and investment, especially in the oil and gas industry, the Algerian Ministry of Hydrocarbons said in a statement.
The visit will also serve as an opportunity to sign several agreements between the two sides, further strengthening the bilateral partnership and opening new avenues for cooperation in areas of shared interest, the statement said.
